Tiia enjoys playing with the dynamic between the rough and the refined, as well as subtle and unexpected material choices which reveal themselves in her one of a kind, handmade designs. Wide ranging life experiences have influenced her perspective. She received a BA in Art history at Skidmore College, and then a degree from UCLA in Interior Design. Early on, she worked for leading fashion designers including Carolyne Roehm, Adrienne Vittadini, and St. John, as well as several top interior design firms. Currently based in Los Angeles, she has traveled extensively throughout the world and has lived in several cities including Boston, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Miami, and Hong Kong over the past 30 years, as well as Germany as a child. Tiia’s restless, creative mind is always thinking about the next creation.
